HOTA ~ SOUNDS OF WANDERLUST

Saturday 3 October 2020, 6.30pm

From the opera houses of Venice to blazing Brazil, from soulful solo cello to powerful African drums and back home to Australia with the pure voices of our children. Director and curator Karin Schaupp invites you on an exciting romp around the globe with some of Queensland’s finest musicians as Luke Jerram’s sculpture of planet Earth glows from above.

Bring the family and prepare to be captivated by the incredible opera star Jose Carbo, swoon with the Orava String Quartet, let Griffith Brass take you to Broadway, celebrate the Hungarian cello virtuoso Gyorgy Deri’s Australian debut, honour our home with the Yugambeh Youth Choir and be electrified by Ba Da Boom percussion.

Guitar virtuosa Karin Schaupp will be your travel guide and will join some of these incredible artists on stage. Bring your picnic rug, enjoy a tasty treat, and come along for an evening not to be missed.
